To honor the forward-thinking spirit of this movement, we traveled to progressive PDX, Oregon for a little revolutionary respite. It was enough to make us long for an escape to Cascadia, a proposed independent region in the Pacific Northwest dedicated to environmentalism, civil liberties, and thriving local economies.
